SPAL Academy Manager Andrea Catellani is set to take the place of Roberto Samaden as the head of Inter’s youth academy at the end of the season.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 34-year-old is the candidate who’s been selected to replace Samaden when the current head of the academy steps down at the end of the season.

Inter have spent the past couple weeks in search of the right candidate to replace Samaden since the latter informed the club of his intention of stepping down from his role at the end of the season when his current contract expires.

Former forward Catellani, who played for the likes of Sassuolo and Spezia during his playing days before taking on a role as the Academy Manager of Chievo Verona and then, in 2021, SPAL, has been the candidate chosen according to the Gazzetta.

There will be no rush to announce Catellani’s appointment officially, but it should be confirmed in the next few weeks according to the Gazzetta.
