Inter striker Edin Dzeko is getting very close to extending his contract with the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 37-year-old Bosnian international will remain one of the Nerazzurri’s four strikers for at least one more season.

Dzeko turned 37 recently, but even with showing one or two signs of age he has remained an important player for Inter, particularly over the first half of the campaign.

For the club’s part, Inter see the former Roma, Manchester City, and Wolfsburg striker as being more than capable of having his say for at least one more season, even if not necessarily as a regular starter.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri have been in discussion with Dzeko and his representatives over the past months to try and reach an agreement on a new deal.

According to Tuttosport, negotiations are essentially finish, and it is only a matter of time before Dzeko puts pen to paper on an extension.
