Inter have received prize money of €9.6 million from UEFA for their participation in the round of sixteen in this season’s Champions League.
This according to Italian football finance news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who report that the Nerazzurri have received the payment from European football’s governing body, as have AC Milan and Napoli.
The total amount that has been distributed by UEFA to European teams who participated in the round of sixteen of the Champions League this season is €153.6 million, with the shares allocated to Italian teams totalling €9.6 million each.
Inter as well as the Rossoneri and the Partenopei have received these payments, whilst Juventus did not as they did not reach that round of the competition.
Meanwhile, the payments for participation in the quarterfinal stage of the Champions League have not yet been made, although according to Calcio e Finanza these will total €10.6 million each to Inter, Milan, and Napoli.
