Revitalizing the squad by adding more younger players will be one of Inter’s major priorities during the upcoming summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have identified lowering the average age of the squad as a key objective for the summer.

Inter’s squad currently has the highest average age in all of Serie A, sitting at around 29, and this fact has been reflected on the pitch over the second half of the season.

The Nerazzurri have looked tired at various points, as there has been a sense that a number of key players have not been able to sustain the pace from earlier on in the campaign.

Accordingly, Tuttosport report, the Inter directors have observed this and are very keen to take action in the summer transfer window.

Accordingly, it is likely that the Nerazzurri’s targets in various positions during the window will skew to the younger end.
