Milan Mayor Beppe Sala believes that AC Milan have several possible ideas for a new stadium to be built in the La Maura idea, indicating that they are very serious about building in the area.

Speaking to the press, as reported by Sportface.it, the Milan Mayor explained that the Rossoneri have already shown that they exploring all possibilities for the La Maura area, as they aim to decisively make a break from the plans of building in place of the San Siro with Inter.

Nothing has been absolutely confirmed yet regarding Milan building on their own rather than together with Inter as had been the plan for several years.

However, it is clear that the Rossoneri are strongly leaning in this direction, and Milan Mayor Sala has spoken openly about what will be needed for them to formally break in this direction.

The Mayor has indicated that, whilst Milan have yet to present any finalized plans, they have shown that they are assessing their options seriously.

Sala noted that “In the documentation I’ve already seen, Milan have had a number of ideas, I’d say six or seven.”

“But in reality a completed project needs to be presented, and not just a sketch,” he noted, “and they’re committed to doing so in the next two weeks.”
