As of yet, no official decision has been made by the Italian national team regarding the fitness of Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri midfielder is not yet expected back at the club’s training ground despite the fact that he is not currently with the national team squad.
Barella started for Italy in the team’s 1-2 EURO 2024 qualifying defeat to England, although he had to come off during the second half of the match.
Reports have suggested that the reason for the 26-year-old’s second half substitution was that he had picked up an injury, and then he was reported to have left the Azzurri’s training camp, which would look to provide further confirmation of this.
However, FCInter1908, as of yet there has been no official decision taken by the national team to release Barella, and so for not he will not yet return to Inter training.
