Inter defender Milan Skriniar is aiming to return from injury in either the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match against Fiorentina next weekend or in their subsequent match against Juventus in the Coppa Italia.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Slovakian is targeting the match against La Viola to come back, but that he could also be rested in view of the Coppa match against the Bianconeri.

Skriniar is currently still recovering from the back injury which kept him out of participating in the Nerazzurri’s last four Serie A matches and has also kept him off of the pitch for Slovakia during the international break.

However, according to the Corriere, the 28-year-old is aiming to make his return to the pitch not long after the break.

The newspaper reports that the aim for Skriniar is to be fit and available to play against Fiorentina, although at the moment there is no certainty of this.

Accordingly, it is also possible that Skriniar will be left out of that match, but then return against Juventus during the week.
