West Ham United are ahead of Aston Villa in the race to sign Inter forward Joaquin Correa, although both are very much in the running.

This according to UK news outlet TeamTalk, who report that both of the pair of Premier League clubs are keen on the 28-year-old with the Hammers being in pole position at the moment.

Inter are likely to offload Correa during the summer transfer window, as the Argentine has never really made an impact since his arrival from Lazio in the summer of 2021.

According to TeamTalk, both West Ham and Villa feel that they could turn the former Biancocelesti, Sevilla, and Sampdoria player’s fortunes around.

The UK-based outlet report that the Hammers would like to try pairing Correa with Gianluca Scamacca in attack and have been plotting a move, although Villa could look to swoop in as well.
