Bologna are working to extend the contract of Inter-linked coach Thiago Motta until the end of June 2025.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that Rossoblu President Joey Saputo will be in Italy soon where his objective will be to secure the 40-year-old coach’s future.

Motta’s name has been one of those most strongly linked with Inter for the event that the Nerazzurri would sack Simone Inzaghi and look for a replacement.

The fact that the former Italian international has close ties with Inter from his playing days along with the impressive job that he has done since taking over at Bologna are the main reasons for this.

However, given the job that Motta has already done with the Emilian club, Bologna do not want to lose hold of the former Genoa and Spezia coach and would like to convince him to sign a new contract.

Motta’s current deal runs out at the end of June 2024, but the Rossoblu will offer him an extension until the end of June 2025.
