At present, Inter striker Romelu Lukaku hasn’t done enough to convince the Nerazzurri to extend his loan from Chelsea.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the 29-year-old would have to do much more to make the Nerazzurri decide to bring him back next season.

As things stand, the situation is clear that Lukaku will return to Chelsea when his loan to Inter expires at the end of the season, although it is not clear what will happen then.

It is not entirely outside the realm of possibility that the Nerazzurri could negotiate a new paid loan deal to bring the Belgian back next season.

However, Inter’s decision in this respect will always be based on their assessments of Lukaku’s performances, something that has never been in doubt.

At present, the Corriere della Sera report, Lukaku is still a long way from having convinced Inter to try and bring him back next season.
