Inter are the team in pole position to sign Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao in the summer, with the Brazilian strongly disinclined to extend his contract past the end of June 2024.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 26-year-old is ready to leave to join a bigger club and that the Nerazzurri are leading the way for his signature.

Whilst Udinese are keen to extend Becao’s contract past the end of June 2024, the former CSKA Moscow man feels that it is time to take the step up to a bigger club rather than committing his future to the Friulani, the Gazzetta report.

As such, there is little hope of Udinese persuading Becao, meaning that it is now very probable that they will sell the Brazilian during the summer rather than allowing him to go into the final season of his deal.

Becao has been linked with Inter already as one of the main targets to replace Milan Skriniar on the right side of their back three, and according to the Gazzetta they are currently the team in the strongest position to move for him.
