Despite links to Inter as well as Juventus, AC Milan, and other clubs, it is likely that Antonio Conte will take a year off from coaching following his departure from Tottenham Hotspur being confirmed.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the 53-year-old would be likelier to join the Nerazzurri than any other Italian club, but that in any event the actual likelihood is that he will take a break.

Conte’s exit from Spurs was made official yesterday, and this has set in motion the rumour mill.

According to Mediaset, a return to Inter would be likelier than a move to any other Italian club for Conte given that Simone Inzaghi would be likelier to part ways with the Nerazzurri than any other coach currently at a top club in Serie A.

Meanwhile, the broadcaster notes that despite some links between Conte and Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions look to have prioritized bringing in former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane instead.

According to Mediaset, as things stand it is most likely that Conte will simply take a break from coaching rather than immediately joining another club for next season.
