Roma would be ready to join Inter and Juventus in trying to bring Antonio Conte back to Serie A now that the 53-year-old’s departure from Tottenham Hotspur has been confirmed.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that returns to the Nerazzurri or the Rossoneri are not the only serious possibilities for Conte’s next destination.

A return to coaching an Italian team has long looked like the most probable next step for Conte whenever he left Spurs, and the former Nerazzurri coach’s exit from the London club has been confirmed.

Given that Conte has won the Serie A title with both of Juventus and Inter, and given that the status of both of the pair’s current coach’s is far from certain past the end of the current season, a return to one of the two has been mooted.

However, according to the Corriere della Sera, Roma would also be very serious about trying to bring in the 53-year-old in the event that Jose Mourinho were to leave as coach.
