The Mayor of the Rozzano commune has made clear that there has been zero contact with Inter regarding possibly building a new stadium in the area.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, via FCInterNews, who report that Rozzano Mayor Giovanni Ferretti De Luca has clarified to the city council of the commune that there have been no concrete steps by the Nerazzurri to try and build in the area.

With AC Milan seemingly determined to go their own way and break from the plans to build a new stadium together with Inter in place of the San Siro, it is looking increasingly likely that the Nerazzurri will have to find plans of their own.

The commune of Rozzano has been one of the areas linked as a possibility in which Inter could build a new stadium.

However, a bit of cold water has been poured on these links by the Mayor of the commune in his statements to the city council, where he also noted that there would be potential traffic concerns which could make it tough for the new stadium to be built in Rozzano.
