Barcelona are very keen on bring striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.

This according to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, via FCInterNews, who report that the Inter-linked Gabonese international could make the return to the Camp Nou one year after he left to join Chelsea.

Aubameyang’s future does not look to be at Chelsea past the end of the season, as the 33-year-old has found himself frozen out from the project less than twelve months on from his arrival.

For their part, the London-based giants would be happy to move on from Aubamyang’s high wages, particularly in light of their own potential issues with Financial Fair Play.

Aubameyang has been linked with Inter in recent days, as the Nerazzurri could be having to replace Romelu Lukaku in their squad should they send the Belgian back to Chelsea at the end of his loan.

However, according to MD, the 33-year-old’s destination could instead be the Blaugranas, meaning that Inter would miss out.

Barcelona had already signed Aubameyang in January of 2021 from Arsenal, and whilst the Gabonese only spent six months at the Camp Nou, it was a positive period for him.

According to MD, Barcelona are very keen on bringing Aubameyang back, whilst on the player’s end he would be keen on the move.
