Legendary former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi believes that Antonio Conte is a top coach in the modern game, and that it makes sense for Inter and Juventus to be thinking about bringing him back.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Sacchi gave his thoughts on Conte following the 53-year-old’s departure from Tottenham Hotspur, and on his links to the Nerazzurri and to the Bianconeri.

It has not taken long following confirmation that Conte has left Spurs for the rumour mill to start up and links to various clubs in Serie A to emerge.

The former Chelsea and Italy boss has been most strongly linked with two clubs that he has already enjoyed success at in the past, in the form of Inter and Juventus.

In the view of Sacchi, either of the pair would do well to get Conte, whilst he feels that the Bianconeri could be the more logical destination for him.

“Antonio is a coach who makes the difference, he can lead teams to success, to Scudetti,” the former Rossoneri coach said.

“It’s logical that now big clubs are lining up to get him,” he added. “Especially Inter and Juventus, they’re saying.”

“I think he’d be better off going with the Bianconeri, because he’s spent a lifetime in Turin, first as a player and then as a coach,” Sacchi argued.

“He won so much there, he’s respected and loved by the fans.”
