Fiorentina defender Dodo believes that he and his teammates are capable of getting a win against Inter when they travel to the San Siro over the weekend.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, the Brazilian made clear that La Viola are confident that they can put in a performance and take three points against the Nerazzurri in their return to Serie A action from the international break.

The last time Inter and Fiorentina met, it was late heartbreak for La Viola, as Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored in stoppage time to give the Nerazzurri the win by the odd goal in a seven-goal thriller.

However, it was made clear to the Nerazzurri how formidable of a side Fiorentina are even in defeat, and they will be well aware that this Saturday’s match will be a tough ask.

For his part, Brazilian defender Dodo is confident that the Tuscans can get a win.

“We’ll go to San Siro to try and play a great match,” he said.

“We’ll have to go to San Siro and play a different kind of match than the one we we played against them in the reverse fixture,” he added.

“We need confidence that we can go there and win,” the Brazilian continued, “we’re confident, the entire team.”

“We work hard, the coach has always told us that we need to train well if we’re going to to play well.”
