Inter would face a major obstacle to bringing in Brighton and Hove Albion coach Roberto De Zerbi to replace Simone Inzaghi in the summer in the form of the coach’s release clause.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri as well as Lazio are keen on the former Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk coach, but that it would take €13 million to take him from Brighton.

Inter are seriously considering whether Simone Inzaghi should be replaced as coach at the end of the season, and if this were to happen there would be a number of names on their list of possible successors.

According to Tuttosport, CEO Beppe Marotta would welcome the possibility of Max Allegri were he to leave Juventus.

Meanwhile, all of Roma’s Jose Mourinho, Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone, and Bologna’s Thiago Motta are coaches who have an association with the Nerazzurri either as coaches or players and who would be considered.

However, Tuttosport reports, the ideal target in the eyes of the Nerazzurri directors would be De Zerbi.

The 43-year-old would also be one of the main targets of Lazio to replace Maurizio Sarri should the capital club decide to change coaches.

However, in any event, the fact that it would require a significant investment in triggering the Brighton coach’s release clause to bring him in could present a big obstacle for Inter, and for Lazio.
