Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp would be keen on signing Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic during the summer transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri would be ready to listen to offers for the 30-year-old ass the Reds line up a bid.

Klopp is determined to give Liverpool’s midfield an overhaul this summer given the cracks that have emerged during an inconsistent season for his team.

Reports have suggested that Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot is one player on the Merseyside giants’ radar, and the Frenchman’s availability on a free transfer could represent an important opportunity for them to add a proven option without a big cash outlay.

However, Klopp wants to add more than just one midfielder to complete his rebuild, and Liverpool would be ready to spend.

According to FCInterNews, Inter midfielder Brozovic is a major target for the Reds in this respect.

Whilst as recently it would have been virtually unthinkable that Inter would have allowed Brozovic to leave given that he has been a crucial player in their squad, the situation is different now.

Injuries to the Croat during the season have seen Hakan Calhanoglu emerge not just as an able deputy for Brozovic, but even as the first-choice option in the deepest role in the midfield trio.

Accordingly, Liverpool sense an opportunity to move for the Croat, a player they have targeted in the past to no avail, as he is no longer happy with his situation at the Giuseppe Meazza.
