The Turkish national team got their EURO 2024 qualifying campaign off to the start they’ll have wanted, overcoming Armenia 2-1 after coming back from an early Ozan Kabak own goal.

Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been the captain of the Turkish team since striker Burak Yilmaz retired from international football last year, and the 29-year-old Nerazzurri man inherited the armband.

Calhanoglu shared pictures from the 2-1 win over Armenia in a post on his official Instagram account.
