Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and striker Romelu Lukaku are both back in training following their returns from international duty with Croatia and Belgium respectively.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair have both linked up with their teammates after participation with their national teams were completed, whilst Lautaro Martinez and Valentin Carboni are expected back tomorrow.

Brozovic and Lukaku both helped their respective national teams to victory in their last EURO 2024 qualifier of the international break.

Croatia picked up a 2-0 win over Turkey in their second qualifier after having drawn with Wales in the first match, whilst Lukaku was on the scoresheet as Belgium beat Germany 3-2.

Neither player has wasted any time in getting back to training with their club, however.

The duo returned to Milan and were part of a full training session with the rest of the squad, with those players who were with the Italian, Dutch, and Bosnian national teams already having returned.

The only two players still to return from international duty are Argentine duo Lautaro Martinez and Valentin Carboni.

Martinez started against Curacao in a 7-0 friendly win for the Albiceleste yesterday, although the Inter striker failed to get on the scorehseet.

Meanwhile, Carboni was an unused substitute in both of Argentina’s friendly matches during the break.

Both of the duo are expected to be back in Milan in time to be part of tomorrow’s training session, two days before the team return to Serie A action against Fiorentina on Saturday evening.

In the meantime, Sky note, one player who will not be in training in the next couple days is Hakan Calhanoglu after the 29-year-old suffered a groin problem whilst on international duty with Turkey.

Inter nervously await the result of medical tests on the Turk’s injury to see how serious the problem is.
