Rumours of a Jose Mourinho return to Inter are not likely to come to anything, as the 60-year-old is set to remain at Roma for another season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 60-year-old will stay at the Giallorossi until at least the end of his contract in 2024, despite links to Inter, Newcastle United, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Mourinho’s reputation has improved significantly during his tenure as Roma coach after less-than-positive ends to his spells in charge of Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

So much has been the case that the Portuguese tactician has started to be linked with other jobs around Europe.

Even Inter have been linked, with Simone Inzaghi’s future on the Nerazzurri bench hanging in the balance.

However, the Corriere reports, Mourinho is currently happy with the status of the project in the Italian capital, and has a good relationship with Roma’s owners.

Accordingly, there is little chance of the 60-year-old saying goodbye to the Giallorossi this summer, as he will at least stay until his current contract runs out at the end of June 2024.
