Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni and wingback Robin Gosens will be fit and available for Saturday evening’s Serie A match against Fiorentina.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair made their returns to full training yesterday, whilst the condition of Federico Dimarco and Edin Dzeko is still to be evaluated.

Bastoni had been out of Inter’s last match before the international break, a league match against Juventus, due to a muscle injury.

Meanwhile, Gosens had missed the Bianconeri clash as well as the Champions League round of sixteen second leg away to Porto, following a muscle problem picked up during the Nerazzurri’s shock loss away to Spezia.

Both of the pair have spent the international break working on their respective recoveries, and according to the Gazzetta, both should be ready to play against Fiorentina.

During yesterday’s training session, both of Bastoni and Gosens were able to complete a full session with the rest of the squad, and so there should be little doubt regarding the availability of either for this weekend’s match.

The story is a bit different for Dimarco and Dzeko, however.

Wingback Dimarco had started against Juventus before the break but had to come off during the second half of the match due to injury, with Danilo D’Ambrosio replacing him on the left flank.

Tests later confirmed that the 25-year-old had picked up an abdominal strain, from which he has been working to recover during the break.

Meanwhile, striker Dzeko has been with the Bosnia and Herzgovina national team during the break, but has been dealing with a back problem.

The 37-year-old’s injury is not thought to be serious, but he is still not yet back in training as of yesterday’s session, the Gazzetta reports.

In the case of both Dimarco and Dzeko, a call-up to the squad for Saturday’s match against La Viola is still possible, but the real aim could be getting them back to their best for next week’s Coppa Italia semifinal first leg against Juventus.
