Inter’s Curva Nord ultras group have weighed in on the team’s crisis in form.

Writing in a post on their official Facebook account, the Nord made clear that their “patience is at an end” following the team’s third straight loss in Serie A and the serious risks posed to the team’s most basic objectives for the season.

Inter’s loss to Fiorentina on Saturday could hardly have come at a worse time.

The Nerazzurri had lost consecutive league matches against Spezia and Juventus heading into the international break, and had been desperate to return to action from the break with a win.

Slumping to a tenth loss in Serie A for the season has cast a dark cloud over the Nerazzurri’s season that it will be necessary to emerge from under as soon as possible.

For their part, the Nord have lost patience with the situation.

“The Coppa Italia and reaching the next round of the Champions League are now a last resort,” they write.

“We have always put our support behind the team, we’ve never stopped making our presence felt behind the team, even after the worst results of the season, but now is the time that our patience must come to an end,” they continue.

The Nord write that “There are three bare minimum objectives for this team to achieve, given the undoubted quality that it possesses and what we’ve seen achieved so far this season.”

“If so far we’ve been willing to tolerate the ups and downs in league form, in a title race that we’ve never really been in due to the form of another team [Napoli], now we must say enough is enough, because the more fundamental race [top four] is at risk.”

“For this reason,” they write, “we will keep on supporting these colours, but it’s clear that our patience is at an end, and if we fail to meet the minimum expectations then EVERYONE WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE and treated accordingly.”

“Respect this shirt and the history that it represents,” the Nord concludes, “anyone who isn’t giving everything, isn’t giving anything.”
