Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi will not be keeping the squad behind for a “ritiro” this evening, and will be allowing the players to spend the evening at home prior to tomorrow evening’s Coppa Italia match against Juventus.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri coach will not be making the players stay at the training ground overnight in the hopes that they can relax with their families ahead of tomorrow evening’s semifinal first leg in Turin.

Given that Inter have lost their three most recent matches in Serie A, making it four losses in five in the league, there have been some suggestions that drastic measure could need to be taken.

However, from the coach’s perspective, the key thing will be to keep the pressure from getting to the players too much ahead of tomorrow’s massive match against Juventus.

The players will be allowed to leave the training ground after today’s session.

Then, tomorrow morning everyone will assemble at the Nerazzurri’s training ground for breakfast, and then will make the trip to Turin by bus for the Coppa Italia semifinal first leg at the Allianz Stadium.

According to the Gazzetta, Inzaghi is keen to allow the players some time to themselves to decompress, as the pressure threatens to become unbearable as a result of the recent form in the league.

The coach’s hope is that the players will return somewhat refreshed tomorrow morning, and that they can approach the match against Juventus in the evening in a somewhat clear-headed manner.

After the match against Juventus tomorrow, Inter will make the trip back to the training ground in Milan.

Then, they will stay at the training ground over the evening, and following a night of rest they will start preparations for the upcoming league match against Salernitana.
