Former Inter defender Daniele Adani feels that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi no longer has any credibility at the club thanks to a sequence of bad results culminating in Saturday’s Serie A loss at the hands of Fiorentina.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, via FCInterNews, Adani weighed in on what he sees as being the problems with Inzaghi’s tenure at the Nerazzurri.

“Inter have lost four out of their last five matches in the league, ten in total,” the former defender began.

“Things are really starting to get serious.”

“The team has taken a total of 62 shots in the past three matches, but scored just once, and that was from the penalty spot,” he went on.

Adani argued that “These kinds of situation all go back to coaching at the end of the day.”

“It’s certainly not just Inzaghi’s fault, but it feels like the coach has been delegitimized in the eyes of the team,” he added.

Adani predicted that “Next season, Inter won’t be led by Inzaghi.”

“When you see how the formation and tactics are just always the same from match to match, it seems obvious that there’s no longer that fire in him, I don’t think he’s doing anything other than holding on any more.”

“That’s why there’s already a discussion about his future, but the only question is whether or not he’ll stay on until the end of the season,” Adani added.

“The sense that I get is that at Inter, whether behind the scenes at the club, among the fans, and among the team, Inzaghi is no longer credible,” he suggested.

“My feeling is that Inzaghi is no longer so credible, and he’s no longer looking past July.”

Adani also noted of the tactics that “People have said that the team never plays with three strikers, and they did try that, but then what kind of service are the strikers getting?”
