Referee Michael Fabbri will be the referee in charge of Inter’s Serie A match away to Salernitana at the Arechi Stadium in Salerno, Campani on Friday evening.

This is confirmed by an official announcement of the officiating crews for all ten matches to be played during the upcoming round of fixtures in the league made by the Lega Serie A, as reported by FCInterNews, which also lists the rest of the officials for the match.

39-year-old referee Fabbri has been refereeing matches at the Serie A level since 2013, when he made his debut in a match between Cagliari and Parma.

The Italian official has not yet made his debut in European knockout competition, or in international matches.

This season, Massa has been in charge of two Inter matches so far, both in Serie A.

The 41-year-old refereed Inter’s 1-3 loss away to Lazio in September, whilst he was also in charge as the Nerazzurri beat Hellas Verona in January.

Assisting Fabbri in his duties will be Marco Bresmes and Mauro Galetto, whilst the role of fourth official will be filled Giovanni Ayroldi.

In the VAR room, Luigi Nasca will oversee the match to ensure that any errors made by the on-pitch crew are corrected, whilst he will be assisted in his duties by Salvatore Longo.

The Nerazzurri will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch as they aim to get back on track following three successive defeats in the league, and four losses out of their last five Serie A matches.

Meanwhile, Salernitana will be looking to pick up points to further keep themselves away from the relegation places, as they are currently nine points clear of the drop zone.

In the reverse fixture at the San Siro, Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez scored in a 2-0 win for Inter.
