Inter are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan N’Dicka on a free transfer during the summer transfer window.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the 23-year-old is seen as a potential replacement for Milan Skriniar during the summer transfer window.

With Skriniar headed to Paris Saint-Germain when his contract with Inter expires at the end of June, the Nerazzurri are searching far and wide for a replacement for the Slovakian.

N’Dicka has been a name linked to Inter as well as to Juventus, Roma, and Napoli in the past, and the fact that the Frenchman would be available on a free transfer when his current deal with Eintracht runs out at the end of the season would certainly make him an attractive target.

Barcelona have also been widely reported to be trying to get a deal done to sign the 23-year-old on a free transfer during the summer, although their ability to do so could depend on their financial situation and their ability to comply with spending regulations in La Liga.

Accordingly, if the former Auxerre defender does not make the switch to the Camp Nou, then the race to sign him would certainly reopen, and Inter would be very much keen on trying to bring him in.

N’Dicka has won plaudits for his performances for Eintracht, particularly under the coaching of Oliver Glasner, and he has shown himself to be adept at playing in a back three system.

Moreover, the 23-year-old has a fairly similar style of play to Skriniar, in that both are very capable in one-on-one defending and man-marking, and strong in the tackle, particularly on the ground.

N’Dicka has made a total of 176 appearances in all competitions for Eintracht since joining in the Bundesliga club 2018, helping them to win the Europa League last season.
