Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani is considering buying Inter from current owners Suning.

This according to US-based business news outlet Bloomberg, who report that the 48-year-old Italian businessman is contemplating a bid to buy the Nerazzurri, thinking of first selling the Premier League club and then putting his offer in.

Suning could well be forced to sell Inter in the coming months, with the massive loan that they took on from US-based fund Oaktree Capital in 2021 coming due in May of next year.

It has been reported that Bahrain-based fund InvestCorp are among the potential bidders if the Nerazzurri is to be up for sale, with a report from Middle East News stating that the fund id aiming to raise up to $654 million USD to bid on the club.

Bloomberg confirm that InvestCorp are among the interested possible bidders, but also add that Radrizzani’s Aser Ventures are also “mulling over a bid.”

Aser are currently owners of Premier League club Leeds United, but would have to sell their 44% share in the club to US NFL franchise the San Francisco 49ers at the end of the season before they would be able to bid on the Nerazzurri, Bloomberg reports.

Radrizzani has owned Leeds through Aser since 2017, having purchased the club whilst they were in the Championship, the second division of English football.

Under the Italian’s ownership, the Peacocks were promoted to the Premier League as Championship champions during the 2019-20 season, and they currently remain in the division where they sit 16th.

In addition to his ownership of Leeds, Radrizzani also sits on the board of sports broadcaster DAZN.

According to Bloomberg’s report, a bid for the Nerazzurri from Aser and Radrizzani would be contingent on Leeds remaining in the Premier League, so that a deal for the Cottagers could go through at a valuation based on them being a top flight team.

The West Yorkshire-based side are currently two points above the drop zone in the Premier League table.
