All three of Barcelona trio Samuel Umtiti, Eric Garcia, and Clement Lenglet are on Inter’s radar as the Nerazzurri continues talks with the Blaugranas for potential summer transfer business.

This according to Spanish news outlet Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that all three defenders are possible targets for the Nerazzurri as they plot their summer rebuild in defense.

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio held a meeting with his Barcelona counterpart Mateu Alemany last Thursday, and whilst it has already been reported that a number of possible player deals were in discussion, more rumours continue to float about.

One of these concerns the possibility of the Nerazzurri making a move for one or two unwanted players from the Blaugranas’ backline, considering that they will certainly have to reinforce their own defense in the summer.

The imminent departure of Milan Skriniar on a free transfer, as well as the uncertain futures of Danilo D’Ambrosio, Francesco Acerbi, Stefan de Vrij, and even Alessandro Bastoni means that the Nerazzurri will have to think about defensive reinforcements.

It is in this sense that Sport report that Inter have been sounding out possible deals for defenders currently at the Camp Nou.

The Blaugranas have no shortage of defensive players, many of whom are largely frozen out of their team, and this could be a situation that Inter look to capitalize on in the summer.

In the case of Umtiti, the 29-year-old Frenchman is currently on loan at Lecce, where he has started to find regular football in the starting eleven and prove his quality.

The ex-Lyon man could be brought in on loan as Inter look to reinforce in defense.

Then there is former Manchester City man Garcia, who has found some playing time at Barcelona this season but could be allowed to leave in the summer.

Finally, Lenglet is another player who is currently on loan, in the former Sevilla man’s case at Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Sport, he too is on Inter’s radar.
