Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and goalkeeper Andre Onana were involved in a physical confrontation during training today ahead of tomorrow evening’s Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Benfica.

Video of the pair getting in a bust-up during today’s session emerged on social media, with Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it releasing footage of the pair of Nerazzurri players shoving one another following a challenge made by the keeper during a training exercise.

Nerves are high ahead of tomorrow evening’s match against Benfica, and things briefly boiled over during today’s training session.

The squad were participating in a rondo training exercise with Onana attempting to win the ball, and the 27-year-old went to try and win it off of Brozovic, challenging the Croatian midfielder quite physically.

This was evidently not appreciated by Brozovic, as some shouting could be heard, and then then the pair approached each other at which point they began to shove one another.

Several teammates stepped in to separate the pair as tempers began to boil over.

The bust-up appeared to be a very brief one, as the teammates were quickly separated, with striker Romelu Lukaku holding midfielder Brozovic back and appearing to tell him to calm down one-on-one.

Meanwhile, a player who appears to be defender Danilo D’Ambrosio directed Onana away from Brozovic, and a few players stood between the pair who had clearly grown very annoyed with one another to ensure that they did not resume their confrontation.

After the brief confrontation Brozovic appeared to still be upset as he walked off and kicked a bag into the air.
