Inter head into this evening’s Coppa Italia semifinal second leg match against Juventus with the major boost of their strikers finally looking to be finding confidence and form.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who anticipate that the leading role that the Nerazzurri’s attacking players are starting to play could be key to the dynamic of this evening’s match.

During Inter’s truly woeful run of form in Serie A which saw the team drop fourteen points out of fifteen, by far the biggest issue had been the stuttering attack.

None of the four strikers in the squad could even buy a goal, with only Romelu Lukaku able to find the back of the net, and only then from the penalty spot.

However, over the past couple matches, everyone seems to be coming alive in Inter’s attack.

There’s Lautaro Martinez, who’s scored against both Benfica and Empoli to put an eight-match goalless run well and truly behind him.

Then, there is Joaquin Correa, a player who has always struggled for fitness and form since joining Inter from Lazio in the summer of 2021.

The 28-year-old got a personal boost in the form of an excellently-taken strike against Benfica in the Champions League.

Whilst Correa is not likely to start against Juventus this evening, if he is to be used as a weapon off the bench he will come on as a player who knows where the goal is.

Lastly, Romelu Lukaku’s performance against Empoli over the weekend hardly needs any introduction.

The Belgian, who has had a torrid season in which injuries have played a major role, virtually dragged the Nerazzurri to a massive three points at the Stadio Carlo Castellani, with two goals and an assist in the second half meaning that he was involved in all three goals in a 3-0 win.
