Inter coach Simone Inzaghi seems to have the wind in his sails once again, in the form of the full support from the Nerazzurri fans as the team head into the decisive run-in of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri faithful at the San Siro could finally be heard chanting the coach’s name as they watchd their team dispatch Juventus to reach the Coppa Italia final.

Fan support has been something that has been in somewhat short supply for Inzaghi recently.

Many Nerazzurri fans have reacted to the team’s woeful recent run of form in Serie A by starting to question the coach’s suitability, whilst even their heroics in the Champions League have only temporarily inspired them, not really dispelling skepticism regarding the coach.

However, yesterday evening, something appeared to change.

Whilst Inter only beat Juventus by a scoreline of 1-0, the actual performance was more dominant than the margin of victory suggested.

Evidently the Nerazzurri fans present at the San Siro were very pleased with what they were seeing, and they attributed it to the man on the bench.

The Gazzetta reports that in the 78th minute of the match, even with the victory far from over the line, approving chants of Inzaghi’s name began to break out from the Curva Nord, as eventually the entire San Siro was hailing their coach.

Whilst the last few weeks in Serie A have threatened to derail the Nerazzurri’s season as they’re at real risk of missing out on top four in the league table, the end of the campaign has the team fighting on three fronts and looks to be do-or-die.

Inter have a real shot at winning both the Coppa Italia and the Champions League now, whilst a place in the top four could still be clawed back.

Evidently sensing this, the Nerazzurri fans have decided that this is the time to give their full backing to the coach to do something special.
