The first leg of the Champions League semi-final between AC Milan and Inter Milan is already sold out, as more than 72,000 fans will be in attendance for the historic EuroDerby.

La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInter1908 reports that fans have flocked to Casa Milan in recent days in the hopes of securing tickets for the showdown which will take place at San Siro on May 10.

The source expects the same outcome for the decisive second leg, which will be “hosted” by Inter, but also takes place at the iconic Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on May 16.

The two arch-rivals have already crossed paths on three occasions this season. While the Rossoneri emerged victorious in the first Serie A encounter that ended 3-2, the Nerazzurri thrashed their “cousins” in a 3-0 result in the Italian Super Cup and then again in the league’s return fixture.

But with a spot in Istanbul’s grand finale on the line, the upcoming fixtures will undoubtedly be the most significant Derby della Madonnina battles in recent years, and the early sold-out tells as much.

So if you’re an Inter Milan supporter who’s still hoping for a second-leg ticket, then you better act swiftly.

The winner of the EuroDerby will challenge whoever emerges victorious in the other semi-final contest between Real Madrid and Manchester City.
