Inter Milan are reportedly open to selling Marcelo Brozovic if they were to receive an offer in the region of €30-40M in the upcoming summer transfer market.

La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews reports the news, claiming that the midfielder and the club both agree that this would be the right time to part ways.

The Croatian joined the club in 2015 and he still has a contract that runs until 2026. Therefore, the Nerazzurri won’t be willing to sell unless they receive a lucrative offer.

As the report explains, there were rumors regarding a possible switch to Barcelona last January in an exchange deal with Franck Kessie. However, the source suggests the Premier League as a more likely destination.

In recent years, Brozovic was widely considered as the best deep-lying playmaker in Serie A, but injuries have hindered his form this season, while Hakan Calhanoglu has cemented himself as a capable alternative for the Regista role.

Therefore, the 30-year-old is no longer an indispensable player in Simone Inzaghi’s tactical setup, even if he remains an important asset, especially in the top clashes.

The source adds that Brozovic would like to end his Inter Milan stint with another trophy, and the Champions League would be the ultimate dream.

The Nerazzurri will take on their crosstown rivals Milan in the semi-finals of the European competition, with the two legs taking place on May 10 and 16.
