Loaned-out Inter Milan striker Samuele Mulattieri dreams of carving himself a place at his parent club following his triumphant Serie B campaign with Frosinone.

Frosinone celebrated their return to the top flight after mathematically securing promotion with a 3-1 win over Reggina on Monday night.

For his part, Mulattieri has been prolific in front of goal this season, bagging 12 strikes and providing his teammates with four assists in his 29 Serie B appearances.

The 22-year-old started his career at Spezia before joining Inter’s youth ranks in 2018, but he’s yet to receive a crack at the first team.

So could the Nerazzurri grant him a proper chance next season on the back of a positive campaign in Italy’s second flight?

While his chances remain relatively slim, Mulattieri is still hoping to make a name for himself at the Giuseppe Meazza.

When asked about a potential return, the young man was somewhat coy with his answer, but he admitted that the Nerazzurri jersey is special to him.

“The Inter Milan shirt is special, I try to have fun and work hard in training. Then we’ll see what the future holds for me,” said Mulattieri in his interview with Sky Sport via FcInterNews.

As for the final stretch for the campaign, the young bomber wishes the best possible outcome for his Inter Milan teammates.

“I don’t make predictions, I just hope that they achieve the best possible results.”
