Christian Vieri thinks Inter Milan have the best team in all of Serie A and this was evident in the 3-1 win against Lazio this last Sunday.

The former Inter and Lazio striker argued this point on Bobo TV on streaming service Twitch after the Nerazzurri’s 3-1 win over Lazio, as reported via Italian Inter Milan news-site FcInter1908.

Vieri argued that the home side dominated proceedings, and the only threat to Inter was loanee Francesco Acerbi slipping over allowing Lazio to take the lead.

Going into this match Lazio were placed higher up in the Serie A table, but Inter defeated them handsomely due to having the better players, both in the starting lineup as well as on the bench.

The former Atletico Madrid and Italy international striker added that the importance of the match was demonstrated on the pitch by Inter’s players.

Vieri believes the Nerazzurri players showed that they were playing with the awareness that anything but three points against the Biancocelesti would mean missing out on Champions League football next season.

“At the San Siro, in Inter vs Lazio, there was never really a game. The Nerazzurri are really strong, Acerbi slipped two or three times and Inter risked because of it.

“I don’t know how this  team has managed to lose all these games, they have an extra gear as Sarri said. The starting eleven is strong as is and then the others get warmed up. Dzeko, Lautaro, Calhanoglu, de Vrij…

“For me, Inter are much stronger than the other teams. The team knew that without these points they wouldn’t make it to the Champions League.

“Lazio play well, hats off to Sarri, they have lost two games, but they play football against everyone. Inter have the strongest squad in the league, and now they know they have arrived in the decisive part of the season” Vieri underlined.

The Distance To Napoli In The League Table

The legendary ex-Inter striker then discussed the 22 point gap to Napoli in the Serie A table, arguing that the blame must be shared across the entire club’s, from players to directors and not just the coach.

Before concluding his thoughts on Inter’s 3-1 win over Lazio Vieri ended it by praising Romelu Lukaku adding that he prefers the Belgian striker over Edin Dzeko.

“The blame always falls on the coach, but the managers and players don’t leave. You know how it is, how it works in Italy. Inter dominated strongly against second-placed Lazio.

“Out of Dzeko and Lukaku, it’s Lukaku all day long. He’s improving from game to game. At the moment, he causes problems for the depth he provides, for his physicality.

“He’s not like Conte’s Lukaku, but now he’s doing great and opening up spaces for Lautaro. And now he’s scoring goals, to win all the games you need goals” Vieri concluded.
