Inter Milan wingback Raoul Bellanova talks about his difficult moment earlier in the campaign, but reassures that he’s in a significantly better state at the moment.

It was another positive cameo for the 22-year-old who replaced Federico Dimarco early in the second half at the Bentegodi Stadium, taking part in Inter’s 6-0 dismantling of Hellas Verona on Wednesday night.

The former Cagliari man insists that it’s up to the Nerazzurri players to make life easier for themselves on the pitch,

“It’s never easy to come here to play, but like every game it’s always up to us to make it easy or difficult,” said Bellanova in his post-match interview with Inter TV via FcInterNews.

“We started off on the right foot with the right attitude and applied everything we did in training during the week and brought home the three points.”

On a personal level. the young wingback admitted enduring a negative period earlier in the season, referring to a long stretch of matches where his playing time was scarce and hard to come by.

Nonetheless, he reassures that his situation has improved comprehensively and that he’s in a much better shape both physically and mentally.

“Let’s say that the period when I wasn’t feeling well helped improve, especially mentally.

“Now I’m fine, I played seventy minutes with Empoli, I’m always ready to give my best and I always wait for the coach’s call.”

The speedy fullback began his playing career as an AC Milan youth product.

Last season, he enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Sardinia despite Cagliari’s relegation, earning a loan switch to Inter Milan with an attached option to buy.
