Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez was named the man of the match in the 6-0 demolition of Hellas Verona on Wednesday night.

The Nerazzurri enjoyed their evening at the Bentegodi Stadium, pummelling their opponents with three goals in each half.

For his part, Lautaro contributed to the carnival with a personal brace (including a fabulous lob) and an assist for his striking partner Edin Dzeko.

In its player ratings, Milan-based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInterNews) identified the Argentine forward as the man of the match.

The 25-year-old has been in ravaging form as of late. scoring five goals in Inter’s last three Serie A fixtures.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri striker has suddenly reopened the Capocannoniere race which was considered to be a foregone conclusion in recent months.

While Napoli bomber Victor Osimhen remains in the lead with 21 goals, Martinez is now a couple of strikes away with 19 goals to his name and momentum on his side.

As for the other Inter Milan players, Raoul Bellanova, Matteo Darmian, Roberto Gagliardini and Mattia Zanotti received the lowest grades (6). Nonetheless, this rating is considered decent enough by Italian media standards.

On the other hand, the midfield trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu and Marcelo Brozovic all received a superb 7.5 grade, along with Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko (the author of a brace) and wingback Federico Dimarco.
