Inter Milan could turn to Mateo Retegui if Romelu Lukaku doesn’t stay at the club beyond the current campaign.

So according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the Nerazzurri have identified Retegui as the primary candidate to replace Lukaku.
The 24-year-old has hit the headlines in recent months after receiving a call-up to the Italian national team, He made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals in his first two international caps.
As the source explains, the Argentine-born striker would cost Inter around €18 million, which is approximately the same figure required to maintain Lukaku’s services for a single campaign.
Retegui’s card is owned by Boca Juniors, but he got his breakthrough while playing on loan for Tigres. This season, he has already bagged nine goals in 12 appearances in the Argentine league.
The Italo-Argentine has many suitors between Italy and the rest of Europe, including Napoli, Roma and Eintracht Frankfurt.
