Chelsea-owned Romelu Lukaku is set to start upfront alongside Joaquin Correa for Inter’s pivotal Serie A matchup for a potential UEFA Champions League qualification spot.

This according to the web-version of Milan-based daily newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews.it.

Inter manager Simone Inzaghi has plans to turnover the starting lineup for their Serie A game versus Jose Mourinho’s Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday at 1800 CET because of the Nerazzurri’s UEFA Champions League Semi Final on Wednesday against local rivals AC Milan.

For this reason, Inzaghi plans to perserve Lautaro Martinez and start Romelu Lukaku and Joaquin Correa. Nicolo Barella is set to start in midfielder after being rested against Hellas Verona.

Marcelo Brozovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are likely to start in the remaining midfield spots, as Hakan Calhanoglu is set to be rested.

Denziel Dumfries is projected to start ahead of Raoul Bellanova, with Federico Dimarco to start on the left. Danilo D’Ambrosio was not called up to the squad due to muscle fatigue.

Matteo Darmian and Alessandro Bastoni are set to start on defence and it is a toss-up between Acerbi and De Vrij for the final centre-back spot. Andre Onana will return in goal.
