An emerging news report has identified Kevin Danso and Becao as the two favorite candidates to replace Milan Skriniar at Inter Milan.

The Slovakian’s experience at Appiano Gentile will end in June as the two parties couldn’t reach an agreement over a contract extension. Therefore, the 28-year-old will join Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent, leaving a major gap at the back.

According to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, Kevin Danso and Becao are the most concrete options for the Nerazzurri who are searching the market for new defenders.

Danso is a 24-year-old Austrian centre-back who has been attracting interest for his exploits at Lens. The source believes he’d command a transfer fee in the region of €20 million. The report also mentions Napoli as one of his suitors, in addition to unnamed Premier League clubs.

As for Becao, Serie A fans are all-too-familiar with the Brazilian who’s been plying his trade at Udinese since 2019. The source understands that the 27-year-old won’t renew his deal with the Zebrette which will expire in 2024. So he could be available next summer for around €15 million.

The report also names several other transfer targets who are unlikely to join Simone Inzaghi’s ranks, including the likes of Torino’s Per Schuurs, Atalanta duo Giorgio Scalvini and Merih Demiral and Barcelona’s Andreas Christensen.

However, Tuttosport believes that Lorenzo Pirola could return to the base next season to bolster Inter’s defensive department. The 21-year-old is a Nerazzurri youth product who’s spending the current campaign on loan at Salernitana.
