Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi reiterates the importance of rotation as his team prepares for crucial back-to-back battles.

The 47-year-old was speaking in his pre-match interview with Inter TV via FcInterNews which precedes Saturday’s crucial encounter against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

While the morale at the club is high on the back of a four-match winning streak in all competitions, Inzaghi remains cautious ahead of his battle against Jose Mourinho’s side.

This will be a direct showdown for one of the three remaining Champions League spots, and the manager wants his players to be well aware of its importance.

“Certainly, the three wins in a row were very important, but we are also aware of the importance of tomorrow’s match.

“We face a team of absolute value. we have to prepare ourselves in the best possible way.”

Following a negative period where the Inter players were misfiring, Inzaghi is delighted to have his strikers back on the scoresheet.

“This is very important, but as I said before it was just a negative moment that’s all. We know that strikers sometimes experience negative periods, but I was quite confident, I saw them all working every day in the best possible way.

“Now I’m happy that we’re back to scoring with a certain consistency, not only the forwards, but the other players as well.”

With two Champions League semi-final encounters looming in the horizon, the manager dwells on the importance of squad rotation.

“Skriniar and Gosens are missing, but rotation is fundamental for us because we are playing every three days. So we need the services of everyone available.”
