Roma are facing an injury crisis and will be without six players when they take on Inter in Serie A today, whilst star forward Paulo Dybala is only considered fit enough for a spot on the bench.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported via Milan based Inter Milan news-site FCInterNews.

According to the report, Giallorossi coach Jose Mourinho has limited options thanks to a series of injuries and bans especially in defence

Roma will have to do without  Chris Smalling, Diego Llorente, Marash Kumbulla, Rick Karsdorp, and the suspended Mehmet Zeki Celik in the match against Inter later today.

Forward Stephan El Shaarawy has been ruled out with a knock picked up in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw against Monza, whilst Mourinho is thought to be only able to pick Paulo Dybala and midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum as substitutes symbolically, as neither are fit enough for meaningful action and will be rested for the Europa League.

Striker Andrea Belotti will also be named amongst the substitutes and has a better chance of seeing action after a recent rib injury, with Tammy Abraham joined by Ola Solbakken and Lorenzo Pellegrini in attack from the start.

Roma will restructure their defence and put Bryan Cristante in defence alongside Gianluca Mancini and Roger Ibanez, whilst Nemanja Matic returns from suspension to partner Edoardo Bove in midfield.
