Inter Milan’s trip to Roma in Serie A today will see a crowd of 60,000 fans in attendance, but the Stadio Olimpico is not expected to be sold out.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as reported via Milan based Inter Milan news-site FcInterNews.

According to the report, the clash between the two Champions League qualification rivals will see a huge crowd in attendance, with just two points separating Inter in fourth and Roma in seventh.

It is thought that further tickets could be sold on the day of the game and so the attendance could still rise before kick-off scheduled for 18.00 CET.

However it is reported that Roma fans feel their injury crisis and recent shaky form could see the match against Inter all but end their hopes of securing a place in the Champions League via a top four finish.

Nonetheless, there will be a huge swathe of support for Giallorossi coach and Inter icon Jose Mourinho in the stadium, with the Portuguese being backed by Roma fans after perceived injustices from referees and his vocal criticism of officials.

Mourinho enjoyed huge success at Inter from 2008 until 2010, culminating in an unprecedented treble of the Scudetto, Coppa Italia, and Champions League in his final season.
