Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic played a crucial role in helping the Nerazzurri secure a 2-0 win over Roma in Serie A at the Stadio Olimpico yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based daily newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported via Milan based Inter Milan news-site FCInterNews.

As per the newspaper’s player ratings, Brozovic was the standout performer for Inter in the Italian capital, with his influence in the centre of the pitch instrumental in securing an important victory in the battle to secure a top four finish and Champions League qualification.

Brozovic was awarded a 7 in the player ratings, whilst goalkeeper Andre Onana, striker Lautaro Martinez, and goalscorers Federico Dimarco and Romelu Lukaku also earned the same rating.

However, it was a day to forget for former Lazio forward Joaquin Correa on his return to the Stadio Olimpico, with the Argentina international failing to impress and being the only player to receive a grade lower than 6, at 5.5.

Despite making good movements and showing a willingness to run into space, Correa’s decision-making let him down and it contributed to a below-par performance.
