Inter Milan are expected to turn to Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez in attack for Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg clash against AC Milan.

This is according to today’s print edition of Rome-based daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as reported via Milan based Inter Milan news-site FcInterNews.

According to the report, coach Simone Inzaghi will mix up his attacking options for the Derby della Madonnina after Romelu Lukaku and Joaquin Correa started yesterday’s 2-0 win over Roma in Serie A, in which the former scored the second goal.

Despite Lukaku impressing at the Stadio Olimpico, it has already been decided that former Manchester City striker Dzeko will be entrusted and he will be partnered by Martinez, with both players rested against Roma ahead of Inter’s European commitment.

Inzaghi To Reshuffle Midfield

Meanwhile, Inzaghi could be set to reshuffle his midfield after Marcelo Brozovic’s excellent display against the Giallorossi, and the Croatian may have secured a starting spot alongside Nicolo Barella for the clash with Milan.

Whilst it had been expected that Brozovic would be battling Henrikh Mkhitaryan for a spot alongside Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu, he may instead play in the deeper midfield role from the start.

This would see Turkey international Calhanoglu fighting for a place in the team, and he must now convince Inzaghi to select him over Mkhitaryan in midweek.
