Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi has received praise for his performance in the 2-0 win over Roma in Serie A yesterday.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based daily newspaper Tuttosport, as reported via Milan based Inter Milan news-site FCInterNews.
As per the report, the Lazio loanee impressed at the back at the Stadio Olimpico and showed a strong reading of the game to keep Roma striker Andrea Belotti quiet throughout, whilst proving pivotal at the heart of the three-man defence.
Acerbi’s performance earned him a 7 in the newspaper’s player ratings, with his centre-back partners Alessandro Bastoni and Matteo Darmian each receiving a 6.5.
Meanwhile, wingback Denzel Dumfries also caught the eye on the right with his marauding runs and constant energy, and his display saw him marked at a 7.
On the other flank, fellow wingback Federico Dimarco opened the scoring in the first half and was praised for his ability to find space out wide, with his rating of 7 matched by coach Simone Inzaghi.
