Inter Milan’s strikers have hit form at the most crucial point of the season ahead of Champions League semi-final tie against AC Milan, after an impressive 2-0 win over Roma in Serie A yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based daily newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported via Milan based Inter Milan news-site FCInterNews.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri are about to enter a period of 10 days that could define their season, with a Champions League semi-final first leg against the Rossoneri on Wednesday, followed by the return leg on 16 May, as well as a Serie A home match against Sassuolo in Serie A on Saturday.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has been boosted by his strikers rediscovering their form after a period of profligacy in recent weeks, with Romelu Lukaku impressing against Roma and scoring the second goal at the Stadio Olimpico.

Over the past two weeks, Lukaku has netted three goals, Lautaro Martinez has struck five times, whilst Edin Dzeko has scored twice.

Indeed, only Joaquin Correa has failed to find the back of the net, with his last goal coming against Benfica in the Champions League on 19 April.
