Inter centre-back Milan Skriniar has shown signs of a swift recovery after back surgery as he has already begun gym work as part of his rehabilitation.

As reported by FCInterNews, the Slovakia international defender has begun his comeback from injury just two weeks on from undergoing surgery on his back in France, with the defender returning to training in the club’s gym this weekend.

Skriniar has not featured for the Nerazzurri since a cameo appearance against Porto in the Champions League in March, and underwent an operation to repair a lumbago injury in April which appeared to have ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Small Hope Skriniar Returns Before Season Ends

However, the former Sampdoria defender posted a series of videos on his Instagram account showing his work in the gym, and there is a hope that he can return for Inter’s season finale, particularly with a potential Champions League final on the horizon.

Indeed, it could prove to be Skriniar’s swansong at the club, with the 28-year-old rejecting a new contract at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and closing in on a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
